It all depends on the Era of the Story– Abigail for History. Alexandra for Ancient History, etc.

Abigail- It is a good name for an casual character > the girl next door
Anastasia- Sounds very mystical and mysterious , i like it my best choice

If you told me what the story was about, or the story name maybe I could tell you more because a characters name can affect the title of the book.
However, it’s very hard to decide:).
But I would go for Alexandra or Abigail simply because you can shorten both names.
So for example in the story someone could go.
"Alex, how are you?"
or
"Abi, how are you?"
and it would sound strange if someone shortened the other name like, Ad, Al, Alt, Ana, And, Ath.
See what I mean? but that’s just my opinion.

If you want to go with a more common, every day name and still be pretty id go with Abigail. I love this name even though it is getting very popular. Abby is cute too.
Or if you want a more unique, and differnt name would go with Athena. I love this name too. The name means "wise" and is the Greek Goddess of war.
also it depends on the time period of your stoy. if its in history then use a more classic name like Abigail would work or Andrea, Alexandra or Allison depending on how for back in history it is. or if its more modern then Athena would work or Adrienne or Althea, or Anastasia.

You should go with alexandra because if in the story her nickname could be Alex and her friends could say that which would also make the story longer if you add "Alex is what they call me, but my parents call me "Alexandra". Or something like that, i’m not the story-writer type aha. I also like Andrea and Abigail, For Andrea, It could be Andy and Abigail, It could be Abs or Abby. Hope i helped. Thanks
